Thomas R. MacEwan

Tom MacEwan was called to the Nova Scotia bar in 2000 and, in his over 10 years of practice, he has developed an affinity for all forms of litigation.  He is as comfortable in a court room as he is in the office. 

Tom’s approach and philosophy to litigation is simple – identify the problem and work hard to ensure that the solution serves the best interests of the client.

Tom is a key contributor to the firm’s litigation team.  He is regularly called upon by our clients to advise them in a host of legal matters, including commercial disputes, insurance issues, divorce, contract disputes, human resources and employment issues, management and labour matters, and collective bargaining.

Tom works with institutional, corporate and individual clients.  He has appeared at all levels of Courts in Nova Scotia, from Small Claims Court to the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal.  He also teaches Family Law and Business Law at Acadia University.

When not practising law, Tom’s three young children keep him active.
