Peter Muttart, Q.C.
General Services Partner
Mr. Muttart was born in Kentville, Nova Scotia. He is a founding partner
of the firm, which was established in 1969. He received his Q.C. in
1984. He has practised in Municipal law, Real Estate, Civil Litigation,
Probate/Estate Law, Corporate/Business Law and Criminal Law.
Mr. Muttart is a past President of the Kentville Rotary Club, the
Eastern Kings Chamber of Commerce, the V.O.N. Kings Branch, the Atlantic
Provinces Chamber of Commerce. He is a former Director of the Canadian
Chamber of Commerce and Commissioner of the Village of Port Williams.
He was awarded a Paul Harris Fellowship by the Rotary Club of Kentville
and most recently received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Eastern
Kings Chamber of Commerce on November 8, 2007. Click

Development Committee of the Town of Kentville. He is a past director
of the Council for Canadian Unity and is a director of the Canadian
Council of Christians and Jews.
Mr. Muttart has considerable experience in parliamentary procedure.
He has co-chaired annual meetings of the Atlantic Provinces Chamber
of Commerce in three Atlantic Provinces and National meetings of the
Canadian Chamber of Commerce. He is a trained mediator. His credentials
in this area, and his reputation for impartiality, result in requests
for him to chair political debates and contentious forums. He resides
in Starrs Point near Port Williams with his wife Janet Muttart.
