We are proud to confirm that another of our senior lawyers has been
recognized by appointment to the Bench.
Jean Dewolfe, Q.C., has been appointed a Judge of the Family Court
effective November 10, 2009.
All of us at Muttart Tufts Dewolfe and Coyle congratulate Jean on
this outstanding accomplishment! Photos
of her swearing in ceremony are here.
One of the necessities of such appointments is that Judge Dewolfe
is no longer permitted to personally work on files she had in progress.
In consultation with Judge Dewolfe, all of her files have been re-assigned
to other lawyers within the firm. All of her clients can be assured
that briefings are being conducted so that service to her clients continues
uninterrupted and without delay.
If clients have not already been contacted, the lawyer assigned to
your file will contact you within the coming days, after thoroughly
reviewing your file (at no charge to you). We wish to ensure
that, for clients, the transition will be seamless.
You may rest assured that all court appearances and deadlines will
continue to be met, and that all clients will receive the same personal,
prompt and professional service that you have come to expect from Muttart
Tufts Dewolfe and Coyle.
Judge Dewolfe is expected to preside in courts in the Amherst and
Truro areas, so we do not anticipate any conflict of interest on any
of her files as a result of her appointment.
If you have any concerns or questions, please feel free to contact
the lawyer assigned to your file, or e-mail Joanne
McDow at
.
