Donald
A. Urquhart
Partner
Donald A. Urquhart joined Muttart Tufts Dewolfe and Coyle in 1998
as an Associate, and was admitted to the partnership in 2002.
Mr. Urquhart holds a B.A. (Honours) from Queen's University, and an
M.A. from Acadia University. Prior to attending Dalhousie Law School,
he had a successful 7-year career in journalism. He has lived in the
Annapolis Valley since 1984.
Preferred areas of practice for Mr. Urquhart include Criminal Law,
Family Law and Litigation. He is also a solicitor for the Municipality
of the County of Kings and attends monthly County Council meetings.
He regularly appears at all levels of Court in Nova Scotia.
He has been a guest lecturer at Acadia University on Criminal Law
and Family Law topics. He has also taught courses in Municipal Government
and Constitutional Law at Acadia. He is past Chairman of the Tupper
Lake Property Owners’ Association. He is also active in provincial
and federal political associations, the Kings County Barristers' Society
and has coached children’s sports.
Mr. Urquhart’s hobbies include ocean kayaking and photography.
