Associate Lawyer
Cris was raised in Berwick, Nova Scotia. Following high school,
he moved to Halifax where he co-founded and managed a regional business,
which operated in both unionized and non-unionized industries. Cris
accompanied his wife to Saskatchewan where he earned a Commerce degree
with a major in Accounting (Great Distinction) from the University
of Saskatchewan, which he followed with a Bachelor of Laws degree.
He was called to the Saskatchewan Bar in 2007.
While articling and practicing at one of Saskatchewan’s
largest firms, Cris gained experience in securities, income tax, corporate/
commercial, natural resource and municipal law. He has advised businesses
as diverse as small proprietors to large multi-national corporations.
Away from work, Cris was a lecturer in tax law at the College of Law,
University of Saskatchewan, and taught an accounting class at the
First Nations University of Saskatchewan. He has been an active community
volunteer including coaching kindersoccer and fundraising for United
Way of Saskatoon.
Cris lives in Kentville with his wife, Stephanie, and their two children.
