A Personal Note from Peter Muttart

As you may have noticed, over the last four years, muttarts has been actively recruiting additional superior legal talents to the firm with a view to complementing our strengths and to assure the best available advice and service for our clients. I am pleased to say that we have been very successful in that endeavour and those people are now well established in our firm and our community.

The success of this exercise has also permitted me, personally, to slowly transition much of my practice to others within the firm (new and old). By the end of this year (2012) I will have completed that transitioning and I hope that you will have been introduced to our complete team.

At the end of this year, I will be altering my personal service emphasis from a full time practice to less time-intensive roles, including:

1. Performing consulting services;
2. Arranging and conducting legal education seminars; and
3. Establishing a private practice as a mediator and arbitrator in the dispute resolution field – the increasingly popular option to unaffordable and lengthy court trials.

The purpose of this note is, therefore, twofold: to express my thanks to you personally for the privilege of our past association; and to assure you of my pride and confidence in the character and quality of the lawyers who continue to operate under the banner of muttarts.

I want you to know that the confidence you placed in the firm has been personally gratifying for all of us at muttarts.

Associate Lawyer Position Available

muttarts law firm is looking for an associate with 1-3 years of experience to work with the corporate/commercial lawyers of the firm. Prior exposure to tax matters is an advantage.

The work is varied and includes corporate restructuring, corporate and commercial transactions, commercial financing, tax, estate planning, wills and estate administration and real property.

This is a position with long-term potential for growth and partnership.
